Don't Forget the Pregnancy Test!

There has never been a time when I needed a pregnancy test (to determine or rule out) that I didn't head straight to pick one up. I have never gone to the store for the test and forgotten to buy it, if indeed I thought I should use one.
So forgive me if I had to ask the cashier at Walgreens why in the world would there be a pregnancy test on the shelf next to the check out where they keep the impulse buys. It wasn't placed there by someone chickening out, either. There was actually a price on the shelf.
I know that people frequently buy the things that are put there. I can't tell you how many times I have been waiting in line to check out, saw something I needed, and picked it up right there. They actually do lots of research to determine what items sell best next to the register. But who goes, "Gee, I totally forgot I needed a pregnancy test. Good thing they put it here!"

And in answer to your question, I did NOT forget to buy one this time, either.

I didn't need one.

I'd be in BIG trouble if I needed one!! LOL

Maybe they got tired of kids trying to steal them and wanted to keep an eye on them? Or they thought it would be a nice ice breaker for conversation. Me thinks not.

THAT'S where they are!

Maybe they do that so the people who are too embarrassed to carry one through the store have an easy time. Or maybe their thinking is that since pregnant women are so forgetful they had better cover all the bases.

Since mothers-to-be are getting younger and younger these days, they can pick up their pregnancy tests and a pack of skittles all that the same time.
How convenient!

You did NOT forget to buy one - that means you bought one - right? Did I read that wrong? I've read it over and over and it sounds to me like you bought one. Maybe I read that wrong? Tell me, tell me, tell me ...

Take care - Kellan

Now that you mention it, that's not something I've ever "forgotten" to buy either...

Maybe they are trying to help open up the lines of communication with parents and their children??? It would probably go something like this,

Child: "preg-nan-cy test...Mommy, what's a preg-nan-cy test?"

Mother's response: "Something you better not need until you are well into your 30's and happily married for at least 5 years"

That's funny! What an odd last minute purchase. Maybe it's there for those who are embarrassed to buy one and didn't wanna get caught carrying around the store!

I'm always puzzled by the dog toys at WalMart in the check out aisles. Does anyone really say "OMG I almost forgot Buster needed a new chew toy! Thank God they put them down here on the bottom of the display where no one but 3 year olds look!"

That is a funny post. I never thought about a pregancy test. You have a funny sense of humor.
